you're stuck in a groundhog-day-like time loop where every night there is another debate with another 10 candidates

at first they're minor politicians you think you sort of recognize, but then it becomes a parade of titles like "mayor of townsfield" and "representative for ND-87"

they all have names like "john richardson" and "richard johnson" and "son richardjohn"

at some point william jennings bryan and horatio seymour show up, affably. nobody seems to find this amiss

some of the faces don't seem quite...right (h/t thispersondoesnotexist.com)

you try to take a night off, relax. but the televisions don't seem to play anything else. or, for that matter, turn off.

you come to accept that this is your life now.

then, one morning, you inexplicably awake to find yourself standing behind a lectern.

you are the candidate.
it is your turn.
