This series of Trump tweets is racist and inaccurate.

Trump tells members of the squad to "go back" to the "crime infested" countries "from which they came."

Pressley was born in Chicago

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was born in NYC

Rashida Tlaib was born in Detroit
Trump really shows all his cards with these tweets. Trump demonizes immigrants as a proxy for anyone who is not white. This is straight from the white nationalist playbook.

Trump's entire schtick is claiming people who aren't white are foreigners and then using their alleged foreignness to attack them.

That's why he spent so much time claiming Obama was born in Africa.

1. The infighting in the Democratic Party right now can all be traced back to the decision NOT to impeach Trump

Why aren't Democrats unified and focused on opposing Trump?

Because Democratic leadership decided opposing Trump shouldn't be the focus of this Congress
2. If the House was impeaching Trump right now, the focus would be on Trump and his crimes, not tactical differences among Democrats

Also, impeachment is the biggest tactical disagreement in the party now. If leadership endorsed impeachment, there would be much less daylight
3. The decision from House leadership to protect Trump from impeachment (and, in a related move, not use all the tools available to get Trump's tax returns) is mystifying

I'm surprised it hasn't generated more public criticism from within the Party

(Thread) Hey there: it's the last day of #Pride Month, 50 years after #Stonewall, and there's something I'd like to share. This month has been extremely hard, and today seems appropriate for something I've been scared to do for far too long.
I think a lot about how @BreneBrown defines shame: "the intensely painful feeling or experience of believing that we are flawed and therefore unworthy of love and belonging – something we've experienced, done, or failed to do makes us unworthy of connection."
Hosting @1A has brought me into the lives of millions of people. I've been honored to meet lots of our fans, many of whom praise me and the work we do. I'm grateful for that, but it's had an unintended side effect that's forced me to reexamine how I live my life.

I was expelled from my all-girls high school for being a #lesbian & put in a mental hospital for #conversiontherapy.

I became an #LGBT activist to prevent that from happening to other girls like I was.
Yet conversion therapy is still legal.
Happy #Pride
I memorialize every #lesbian who died hidden in the shadows because of #homophobia, who was forced into compulsory heterosexuality, who was made to live a lie. You deserved better. We honor you by making a safer world for lesbians today. Amen.

2: When I was 8 y/o, I was watching [early] Oprah with my dad. Her guests were middle-aged women who identified as lesbians. I’d never heard that word before, so I asked him: “Papa, what’s a lesbian?”
3: My dad looked a bit alarmed but quickly said “Hush, that’s a bad word. It’s not for kids to use. Don’t say it again, okay?” And trusting my dad, it didn’t come up again. Not for a LONG time.
