For Canada Day, a Mountie salute to some Canuck-only cars and trucks, made possible by 1940s-70s Canadian content laws: First the Mercury pickup, a rebadge Ford. Instead of F1/F100/F150 they were M1/M100/M150
Mopar also acquiesced to Canadian content laws with Fargo pickups, the Great White North's version of Dodge
On the car side, there were a number of Canada-only models. GM produced the Acadian Beaumont (later the Pontiac Beaumont), which was the Hoser version of the Chevy Chevelle
Then there was the Acadian Canso (later the Pontiac Acadian), the Canadian parallel universe version of the Chevy Nova. Sadly "Acadian" was downgraded to a badge for Vegas and Chevettes
Ford's Canada's efforts include this rebadged Mercury, branded as - if you can believe it - the "Monarch Richelieu Cruiser"
Ford also had the equally curious named Ford Falcon clone, the Frontenac
Last but not least, Oliver tractors (made in beautiful downtown Charles City IA) were sold in Canada under the revered Canadian name Cockshutt
When it comes to vehicle branding, it's hard to beat a Cockshutt Deluxe Golden Arrow or a Cockshutt Golden Eagle Black Hawk #CanadaDay
Cockshutt tractor grilles also make dandy aerodynamic conversation piece front ends for a hot rod
