How would you interpret this move by Sec of State in our lawsuit? He subpoenaed Ebenezer Bapt., Baconton Missionary Bapt., 6th Episcopal District, Virginia-Highland Church, Common Cause, Fair Fight, ACLU, etc.? Demanding all their interactions with @CoalitionGoodGv and me. ⬇️⬇️
2/ He claims that he is looking for partisan or political bias on the part of @CoalitionGoodGv ! So he hassles churches that I have no relationship with. 3/ This is so outrageous. We have informally objected, and asked Raffensperger and the State Election Board to withdraw their subpoenas, but they have not done so. We will take to the Judge on Monday. It is just beyond the pale and abusive of the process.
4/ He is making these churches spend money on lawyers doing needless work to answer nonsense questions in a matter that they are not involved in at all.
5/ And this is how he is spending taxpayers' money. Have expensive attorneys paid by the State harassing churches who are not involved in this case. I'm highly confident that neither @JSmytheDuVal nor John Barrow would have harassed churches as SOS!
@JSmytheDuVal 6/ We had a call with the SOS lawyers this afternoon and asked that they back off harassing the churches with subpoenas. They rejected the suggestion. We'll take it to the Judge.
