Footage leaked of Howard Stern instructing his staff to make fake Twitter accounts, lol
This 2012 tirade has long been speculated about in Stern fan circles. It was referenced in a 2017 WSJ article: wsj.com/articles/the-w…

Somehow the full video just leaked:

Howard wanted staff to make fake accounts to encourage celebs to come on the show
The footage is funny because Howard is demanding that his staff pull out all the stops to suck up to celebrities and their management, including literally rolling out the red carpet for them. It’s the exact opposite of what his attitude would’ve been 15 years earlier

The guy claimed he was going to kill himself and then couldn’t complete the task so now he’s in custody. Photos of girl’s dead, mutilated body are posted everywhere. There appears to be some unverified, convoluted backstory involving various anonymous online forums. Grisly stuff
The guy’s intended last act was to post photos of himself bleeding to death on Instagram, which of course are now preserved online. The suicide failed, perhaps purposefully, but imagine the mindset where that’s your last dying act

Jack Dorsey gave Tulsi money and journalists can barely even articulate why they’re so flamboyantly upset about it. They just presume that everyone knows she’s discreditable crank -- no further elaboration needed. That’s how they police the parameters of Political Seriousness
Jack also gave to Yang, which I guess journalists also consider innately evil for reasons they can't articulate

People's reactions to Tulsi are utterly insane. There are people with substantial followings on this website declaring that Jack is now an Assad-loving white nationalist compromised by Putin
I've interviewed Tulsi about social media censorship several times and she's maintained that Jack's company should be treated like a public utility and subject to greater government regulation, so I'm not sure what the conspiracy is supposed to be here
If there's any reason to be suspicious, it's that Jack is a billionaire, but of course that's generally not what people are suspicious of: it's the usual agglomeration of Russia/Assad/stealth right-winger nonsense

Despite zero evidence, growing from one Portland police tweet, the conspiracy theory (heavily pushed by far-Right trolls), that #Portland antifascist protesters mixed quick drying cement into over 700 milkshakes which were eaten, has made its way into the mainstream. A thread.
First some context. Since Joey Gibson and goons stepped onto the scene in 2017, we've seen collusion with law enforcement, the creation of a violent far-Right coalition that includes Proud Boys, militias, neo-Nazis and the Alt-Right, and mass community defense against them.
While not all of the far-Right groups who come to Portland agree with each other or have the same views - they all agree they must work together in order to engage in violence against grassroots social movements. Proud Boy Tiny makes the case here - saying he welcomes Alt-Right.

Twitter seems to be banning or suspending accounts belonging to critics of the Chinese government. It started yesterday May 31th. Here is one report - I noticed a sudden loss of followers yesterday, I checked, it was mainly China critics. Twitter❤️🇨🇳 Amazing! @mouse @1GigiSims
This is happening as an effort to silence #China critics ahead of the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, which is next Tuesday. Twitter is helping China do its dirty work to silence the legitimate opposition. Twitter has hit a new all time low! 👎👎👎
One other possibility that can't be discounted is that the #Chinese government is hacking into Twitter and is deleting the accounts of Chinese critics. I did hear reports in the past, that Chinese hackers were able to get into Twitter & do that.

Question for @jack based on testimony: Where else does the Quality Filter/behavioral tools limit the exposure of tweets from accounts deemed low quality? How long does the rating last? Do tweets from accounts deemed low quality fail to show up in the timelines of their followers?
Given the liberal bias among #Twitter employees & many of those external entities involved, who can accurately judge whether particular news outlets are fairly described, rated and treated? Does Twitter have people in their feedback loops who can point out the confirmation bias?
Quality Filter previously used (“who follows you”, “who you follow” and “who you retweet”) as behavioral signals. Is this still the case? How is Twitter dealing with the “guilt by association” aspect of this?
