Microsoft does all this cool development, does a 180 on open source, and builds a great security research team - and then licensing models and questionable telemetry practices bust down the wall like the Kool Aid man... 🤦🏻♀️🍸🤷🏻♀️👩🏻💻
Ambiguous data collection and ugly billing models drive individual users away from better security, and that’s not great...
Infinitely sad and frustrating. I’d pay let’s say, three times as much for Windows without telemetry or cloud integration.
It slays me that in 2019, you are considered an utter whacko if you want a simple modicum of digital privacy and firm control of your data and activity.
