Given how often my thread about the musical had to be peppered with "NO, THAT'S NOT *JUST HOW MUSICALS ARE*" to people... this seems legit.
I love the paradox that is Cats, the most accessible musical that brought Main Street to Broadway, while also being an arcane and impenetrable eldritch thing that no one can explain.
It's both the exemplar of all musicals and the musical that completely breaks the formula.
So avant-garde it looped around and became a banal cliche.

The thing that's wild to me about the meme of predatory trans women demanding people date us is that so many of us have internalized the idea we're undesirable to the point admitting attraction to a specific person feels like a transgression against them.
At 39 years old, I wrestle with even *having* a sexuality, as the feeling in the back of my brain is that my attention is unwanted, unclean.

(If you can't figure out what you should say to this, honor that impulse and say nothing. No apologies, no encouragement, no hugs please.)
In my late teens and early 20s I was *ripe* for predation because I had internalized the idea that I had to settle for what I could get... the bad stuff was something I probably deserved, the good stuff the best I could hope for and more than I could expect.

So, the good news is I got some pseudoephedrine. It wasn't so much that I felt super awesome enough to go to a pharmacy and sign out for it, but we had pre-existing tickets for Spider-man so I had to go out anyway.
The bad news is that when I have no built-up tolerance to pseudo, I can't sleep with it in my system. I love the little kick of Wakefulness it gives otherwise. But it completely tapes over my brain's off switch for like 16 hours.
So when I went to bed like six hours ago with a mildly recreational dose of dextromethorphan (doubled up NyQuil and plain Robitussin) and a heavy day's fatigue, I was too tired to move and having flights of fancy bordering on hallucinations, but not able to actually sleep.

For the benefit of those who only know a "Cosmopolitan experiment" as an attempt at ill-advised sexual positions: "cosmopolitan" in this sense means "multicultural" and is also a dog whistle for Jewish people as a perpetually stateless but worldly Other.
Cosmos + Polis = universal city/state. A cosmopolitan is one who is a citizen of the world. Positive connotations: free from prejudices and provincial views. Negative connotations: having no loyalty or shared values, no attachment to communities.
If you would like to see how this word is used as an anti-Semitic dogwhistle, just Google the phrase "rootless cosmopolitans"... its use here is part and parcel of the overall GOP project to depict *some* people as True Americans and others as... others.

What about Genesis 2:18-23? Why didn't you quote that? Doesn't it suggest that the woman was an afterthought to the man, and even contingent on him? Why cherry-pick the one that fits the narrative you want to push?
