#DianaRigg's 81st birthday today. Although it's fair to say no picture will do her justice, there are some very fabulous photos out there of her.
The woman can accessorise with a bird and still look amazing. #DianaRigg
Not the biggest fan of lace, but here's #DianaRigg in a ridiculous but beautiful jumpsuit.
THE LEGS. #DianaRigg

MORE LEGS. #DianaRigg
one of my favourite colours on #DianaRigg. It just makes her eyes sparkle.
Which is one of the reasons I love this picture so much. No matter what her age, #DianaRigg is intoxicatingly gorgeous.
There was a sitcom starring #DianaRigg in the 1973 called Diana. She played a divorcee who moved to New York to work in fashion. Because of course this #Dandy did. See the only surviving episode here.
I think this picture might have been from the sitcom itself. #DianaRigg
I think it's a terrible crime to leave out Jean Varon's/John Bates's styling for #DianaRigg - I think most people are familiar with the lame silver suit that appears so often in promos for #TheAvengers, though it's never been one of my favourites. royalbooks.com/pictures/13362…
I actually always preferred the quintessentially '60s outfits on #DianaRigg, such as this (seen with the equally eloquent #PatMacnee):
Another #JeanVaron #JohnBates design for #DianaRigg
#JeanVarone #JohnBates sketchbook for designs for #DianaRigg:
forgive the typo on #JeanVaron's name. Here's another #Varon #Bates #DianaRigg design - one that I'm actually really surprised doesn't show up more, as it's so very, very Varon and so 60s.
There was always so much focus on #Bond and #TheAvengers on #DianaRigg's body - never enough attention on her face.
I LOVE this photo of #DianaRigg. Everyone knows I'm not the biggest fan of white fabric, but she wore it so well. The cut of the suit, the fit, the smile, the pose, the hair - everything about this photo.
I think it's a shame that the majority of pictures of #DianaRigg are from 1960s. Yes, she was absolutely beautiful, then. But she didn't stop being beautiful. Case in point: Lady Dedlock in the 1985 #BleakHouse.
Here is #DianaRigg with #DavidMcCallum in 1989s Mother Love.
in #MrsBradleyMysteries, #DianaRigg played Adela Bradley. Sadly, like the sitcom #Diana, I've had a hard time tracking down full episodes of this.
#MrsBradleyMysteries is from 1998/2000). I know I watched it when it came out, but I haven't seen it since.
I have, however, found copy of 1975's #InThisHouseOfBrede, where #DianaRigg played a businesswoman who gives up her life to become a nun.
More recently, #DianaRigg was in #DrWho with her daughter #RachaelStirling in 2013.
I could obviously go on forever posting pictures of #DianaRigg, but I thought I'd end by talking about some of my favourites. This is a still from an #Avengers episode Castle Death (1965) - she finds a tiny little bag pipe and plays it.
Obviously any picture with #DianaRigg in a suit and hat will end up on my favourites list.
I'm very fond of this #DianaRigg picture - I love the lighting, the expression, the profile - pretty much everything about it.
Obviously, another hat and suit picture of #DianaRigg.
We're getting close to the end of my #DianaRigg birthday appreciation thread. I absolutely adore this expression on her face, I'm not sure why.
This is also one of my favourite #DianaRigg pictures - I love her expression, I love her body language, I love the lighting.
You'll have noticed, by now, my affection for seeing this woman in a hat, tie and trousers. #DianaRigg
So you probably won't be surprised to see that my favourite photos of Diana (apparently all from the same photo shoot) have her in an amazing outfit and hat.

Thank you for indulging me in my #DianaRigg crush. Happy birthday to this gorgeous, amazing woman.
Annoyingly, the thread got a bit messed up cos this stupid new twitter interface didn't update properly to the next tweet for me to reply to. Sorry it's a bit of a mess, but hopefully people enjoyed the Diana thread (branches) anyway.
