So, 56 days after Inauguration day for his 2nd Term, @Mbuhari finally sent his #MinisterialList to @NGRSenate yesterday, which has with alacrity begun the #ministerialscreening today. #TheList can be mined for all kinds of data but some of its demographics are quite interesting
The combined age of the 43 on the #MinisterialList is 2,552 yrs. In a country with median age of 19 & lifeexpectancy hovering around 51, the average age of #TheList is 59.35 yrs. At 73, Kano's Sabo Nanono is the oldest nominee. He's one of 5 #MinisterialNominees aged 70 or more.
In addition to Nanono, Dr. Osagie Ehanire (Edo, 72); Gen. Bashir Magashi (Kano, 70); Alh. Mohammed Abdullahi, former SSG of Nassarawa State (70); & Sen. Tayo Alasoadura (Ondo, 70) are the other septuagenarians on #TheList.
At 45, Sadiya Umar Farouk, currently Commissioner on the National Refugee Commission, is the youngest on #TheList. She is one of only 5 persons under 50 on #TheList, & one of only 2 females under-50. The other under-50 female is Ramatu Tijani (Kogi, 49).
In addition to Sadiya Umar Farouk & Ramatu Tijani, the other forty-somethings on #TheList are: @UcheOgah, politician & former banker (Abia, 49); @fkeyamo , SAN (Delta, 49); @DrIsaPantami , current DG of @nitdanigeria (Gombe, 46)
In all, there are 7 women on #TheList, 1 more than 4yrs ago when there were 7 fewer #MinisterialNominees. That is 2 fewer than the number of lawyers on #TheList (9), 3 of whom (Fashola, Malami & Keyamo) are Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN).
In addition to 9 lawyers, #TheList also includes at least 10 former Governors (Akpabio, Ngige, Sylva, Akume, Adebayo, Onu, Magashi, Aregbesola, Fashola, Amaechi), of whom 1, Gen. Bashir Magashi, was Military Gov of Sokoto State, 1990-92); & 2 former Deputy-Govs, Tallen & Aliyu
#TheList also includes at least 5 former Senators (Ngige, Akpabio, Alasoadura, Saraki & Sirika); 5 Engineers; 3 Medical Drs (Ehanire, Ngige, Mamora); 1 Chartered Accountant & a former Group General Manger of @NNPCgroup (Agba)
From the last Cabinet, at least 13 survived - Dr. Ngige, Rotimi Amaechi, Raji Fashola, Geoffrey Onyeama, Zainab Ahmed, Malami, Adamu Adamu, Lai Mohammed, Ogbonnaya Onu, Dr. Ehanire, Hadi Sirika, Suleiman Adamu & Musa Bello.
Of the 7 women nominated on #TheList, only Sharon Ikeazor, (Anambra) is from the South. The remainder are from the North - Pauline Tallen (Plateau); Zainab Ahmed (Kaduna); Sadiya Farouk Umar (Zamfara); Ambassador Mariam Katagum (Bauchi); & Ramatu Tijani (Kogi).
It's bn a terrific week for former Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Timipre Sylva. 1st he's 1 of the saints who make it to @MBuhari's #MinisterialList. Then, true to form, @OfficialAPCNg's laundromart washes him clean. Excellent!

@MBuhari @OfficialAPCNg On the whole, u just need to look at @Mbuhari's #MinisterialList to see how #CorruptionFightsBack. Prof Sagay, surely not an enemy of the administration, illustrates this point with the case of @SenatorAkpabio.

President @MBuhari promised his #MinisterialList wld only contain ppl known to him. It's hard to believe that many of the good friends of Integrity ppl are in fact long standing customers of @officialEFCC, now on #TheList instead of #InJail but facts like this don't lie.
From the settlement of the case of @mdgoje1 to the return of Timipre Sylva's 48 houses by @officialEFCC to the ascendancy of @SenatorAkpabio, one thing is clear about this #NextLevel - #CorruptionFightsBack & the President & his friends are leading the fight back excellently!
@mdgoje1 @officialEFCC @SenatorAkpabio Boxing buffs will be quite familiar with the expression #SavedByTheBell. With the full majesty of the miraculous cleansing powers of @MBuhari's #MinisterialList now becoming clearer, it cld be that #SavedByTheList will make it into popular lingo
For those seeking to write political obituaries of @AsiwajuTinubu, his Chief of Staff (Fashola), 2 Commissioners (Aregbe & Lai), Publicist (Dare), & Speaker (Mamora) make this #MinisterialList. Of course his Attorney-General (Osinbajo) remains No.2. His relevance is proven.

By the way with 8 nominees who have previously been elected to high office under @OfficialPDPNig, the party does better than women on the #MinisterialList:- Akpabio, Akume, Amaechi, Ngige, Nwajiuba, Saraki, Tallen, & Timipre. Not a bad showing for #YesterdaysMen & Women!
Prize-winning testimonial on Timipre Sylva from @Africa_Conf:
"As state gov from 2007-12 (sic), Sylva earned a reputation for corruption, cosying up to militants & criminal gangs & holding drug-fueled parties in the Gov's Mansion. He rehabilitated his career by joing @APCNigeria"
Meanwhile, I did err in saying only 13 Ministers from the last Cabinet returned on the #MinisterialList. It's actually 14 - I'd omitted from the count, Alh. Mustapha Shehuri - he was the Minister of State in in BRF's super Ministry of Works, Power & Housing. So, there!
