SA faces a monumental and unprecedented financial and governance crisis. And here's why:
We are stuck in what I call a "Consultation Governance Trap (CGT)" devised and managed by the ANC Tripartite Alliance partners. We also have a President who is more

committed and focused on achieving Alliance unity than devoting energy to improving and lifting our development index and reducing unemployment, poverty and inequality. Here's the evidence:
1. Eskom debt poses biggest risk to our fiscus and investment

grading. Yet the turnaround strategy plan promised in Feb 2018 is still outstanding. Why?? Because the President's leadership style is hesitant, indecisive and lacks courage (a vital leadership trait) 2. Regression in the SOEs and municipalities is

target for 2019/20. And our tax base is declining 4. Economic growth projections have been lowered by SARB and the IMF. No prospects of new factories to employ the masses of the unemployed who are also uneducated. 5. Political stability risk factor
