Mick Mulvaney went on TV to defend Trump's attack on his former House colleague Rep. Elijah Cummings and Baltimore. Mulvaney's former district has a poverty rate of 14.9 percent versus 16.1 percent for Cummings' district. Yet Mulvaney and Trump prioritized billionaire tax cuts.
Mulvaney has a long history of siding with payday lenders-- who exploit the poor and struggling -- against his own constituents, in congress and now as Trump's "acting" chief of staff and the man in charge of wrecking the CFPB on behalf of big banks. thenation.com/article/why-lo…
And while Trump, egged on by a black woman no less, attacks Baltimore rather than using his power to try and help the poor, the poorest states in America are red states, and cities in red states (with New Mexico being a blue exception). usatoday.com/story/money/ec…
One day, maybe, people will realize they are being whipped up with fear and hatred of black and brown people (or in some sad cases -- FELLOW black and brown people) by rich people, just so REALLY rich people can rob them blind.
