1. I agree that both sides are very violent.

One side armed with umbrellas, cardboard, bricks.
The other side armed with shields, pepper spray, guns, tear gas.

One side sweats.
The other side gets a salary.

2. One side will be convicted of wrongdoing and be jailed for sometime.
The other side will go scot-free despite wrongdoing.

One side is labelled as rioters.
The other side claimed they have exercised restraint.

3. One side will be condemned if caused injury to the other. The other side showed compassion to only their own

One side is treated with violence.
The other side is let go peacefully.

4. Sure – the bricks are very violent compared to tear gas.
Sure – the cardboard is very violent compared to the shield
Sure – umbrellas are very violent compared to guns and police batons.

5. Sure – water bottles are very violent compared to pepper spray.
Sure – black shirts are very violent compared to full riot gear.
Sure – 3M dust face masks are very violent compared to gas masks.

6. Sure – those who close off all exits and beat up passer-bys are protecting the public and upholding justice.

Sure – when millions protest one day and holding the second reading the next day is considered taking into account of public opinion.

7. Sure – the person being hit in self-defence is called a thug.

We all know what is fair in our hearts. Our eyes and ears may not have the full picture.

8. Ask yourself - More than millions are protesting on the street. Do they not know how to analyse and see for themselves what are the facts.

Ask yourself - Is the gov job to serve the Chinese central government, and colluding with businesses so as to line their own pockets?

9. Ask yourself - Are citizens living or merely surviving?

Ask yourself - Ever since the handover, is the society progressing, or is it torn apart?

Ask yourself - Are the only rights citizen care about is the right to housing? And did the gov actually try to solve the problem?

10. Ask yourself - Is Chinese law your ideal legal system?

Ask yourself - Did the government actually cared about the police working in the front line or the citizens? If yes, why force them to fight against each other, what can we do in the fact of such unjust government?

11. One million people out protesting (ineffective)
Two million people out protesting (ineffective)
Occupy the LegCo (ineffective)
Occupy the Police Headquarters (ineffective)
Regional neighbourhood protests (ineffective)
Faceoff with police (ineffective)

12. Democratically elected counsellors (ineffective as those counsellors are disqualified)
Judicial review (ineffective)
Publicizing message on world media (ineffective)
Petition to the White House (ineffective)
Requesting the UK to carry out their responsibility (ineffective)

13. So what else can be done?
90% of the previous generation will be dead by 2047. My generation of HKers will be senior citizens in 2047.
How about the next generation, they will be in their prime in 2047. Do you want them to suffer just because we have not done enough for them?

14. A place ridden with corruption, lawlessness and disregard for its people and their lives.
A place with toxic food, milk powder and expired vaccines.
A place with 100% conviction rates.
A place where 1 can be prosecuted due to what you post online.
Is this the life you want?

15. Youngsters are fighting for their future with their sweat and blood. You are not entitled to judge them.

Ask yourself and can you say with a clear conscience that you have done something for the youngsters?

Have you protected them?
