I think there is a Marianne Williamson consensus forming and if I were to sum it up: it’s not clear if she has a real voting base but she talks about Democrats’ trauma from the Trump era on a therapy level when the other candidates’ proposed fixes are very much materialist.
Like, Warren has plans for how to reshape the economy and so forth, while Williamson, gliding on her own karmic wavelength, is like, “nobody really cares about plans, you’re all scared of Trump, and has anybody who loves you really talked to you about how fucked up you’ve been?”
Anyway, if you drop the woo-woo subtext, a lot of normie reporters have been out dowsing America’s proverbial ley lines and have a similar analysis, which is that Dem voters do care about policy, but many most deeply care about finding whatever magic potion will get rid of Trump.
