If I could go back in time to 1977 and tell my 9 year old self as I walked out of the theater after seeing Star Wars for the 7th time that one day Luke Skywalker would "like" one of my tweets...I suspect my 9 year old self would say "huh? But, um, wow, I guess."
Bizarre coincidence department: Luke tweeted out this story yesterday about a cool project that my college roommate and friend has been working on for years.
It’s too bad he and I live across the country from each other, otherwise we could celebrate at a strange bar by drinking oddly colored liquids together.

A year ago, a Trump supporting far right group named Patriot Prayer held a rally in Portland. These were the shirts many wore. Pinochet was the fascist dictator of Chile. RWDS (in red on sleeve) stands for "right wing death squads." And like Liz Cheney, they really hate commies.
One of Pinochet's favorite dictator tricks was to take his political opponents on the left on rides in helicopters and then push them to their deaths. These are the sorts of folks who'd gladly do Trump's bidding like this, were he to make similar threats. thestar.com/news/world/201…

After this flurry of awful mass shootings, there’s really no one who wants to hear from the sitting president. There’s nothing he could say in Dayton or El Paso or Gilroy that would give grieving people comfort.
To paraphrase Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln: “How difficult that must be for him to know. But how very important it is for him to remember.”
Barack Obama sang Amazing Grace and brought the nation to tears. Maybe Trump can recite that snake poem he loves so much. Or maybe he could hum a few bars of Kid Rock’s Sweet Home Alabama remake, or a Ted Nugent hit.

Most of people following me aren’t from my country, Belgium and that’s why I think it’s important I talk about this. I think three days ago a girl #JulieVanEspen got on her bike to go to a friend’s house in Antwerp (a big city here). It was broad daylight.
A few hours later turned out she was missing. She didn’t go to her friend and she didn’t go back home either. She’s a 23 year old student. People started asking for help and spreading her picture everywhere.
Yesterday, clothes were found. Today Monday we find out she’s dead. She was found dead at the bottom of the canal that crossed our country. Like she was nothing, a piece of dirt. She got raped, beaten and murdered in BROAD DAY LIGHT.

Even though they don't think my dad jokes are as cool as they did 6 years ago, Caroline, Alex, and Cam remind me every day why I do what I do.

i really do love panic! at the disco but uhhh.. kenneth harris needs to be called out, so here's a thread about my experience with him
April 20, 2016: this was the first day I ever snapped kenny. I sent him a picture of me with that stupid dog filter, thinking he wouldn't even reply but boy did he. He went on about how cute I was and asked me to send more selfies-
which I obviously did, and he sent a few back. Fast forward about a week later. My friend and I had tickets to see panic live on july 8th, fifth row from the stage. I snapped kenny and asked him if he could throw me a guitar pick since we were so close to the stage.
