There is a really good chance I'll have a patient in the ER someday that survived a mass shooting.

@OurRevolution They may show up after a suicide attempt and tell me how they were plagued with PTSD and chronic pain from their injuries and just couldn't take it anymore.

I may be the last person to talk to them.

"Can we afford our rent AND this hospitalization?"
@OurRevolution We are on track to impose a similar fate of a lifetime of medical expenses on the survivors of our most recent mass shootings.

Are we okay with that?
@OurRevolution These are the moments where we need to appreciate how fundamental health care is as a human right.

To charge innocent victims for the rest of their lives is nothing short of cruel.
