If we're gonna talk about what the Second Amendment means, we need to understand it in the context of the ENTIRE document. Here's EVERYTHING the Constitution says about well-regulated militias and guns. Read this + tell me it's ok to ignore the "well-regulated militia" part:

And lest you mistakenly believe I oppose militias and 2A rights altogether: I don't. I support the ORGANIZED, WELL-REGULATED militia the Constitution speaks of – ie, the National Guard. From the @NationalGuard website:

@NationalGuard So, yes, the Second Amendment prohibits Congress from seizing state National Guard armories without a good reason. I'm cool with that. Enforce the Second!

But that doesn't give these bozos a personal Constitutional right to own and carry murder machines. It just doesn't.
