Gators and future Gators at US Gymnastics Nationals a THREAD:

I'll have an article recapping all of the excitement and drama on @AlligatorArmy soon, but here are some great moments from Trinity and the Gator recruits!

#GoGators
Kayla DiCello (2023🐊)

Kayla came off a tough competition at the GK US Classic to dominate the competition at Nationals. In a tight battle with star Konnor McClain, Kayla came away with the gold in the all-around, as well at 2 event golds (vault and floor) and 1 bronze (bars).
Kayla (@kayladicello) is talented across all four events, but I personally enjoy watching her explosive tumbling on the floor!
Olivia Greaves (2023🐊)

Olivia was coming off of a bronze finish at the GK US Classic last month, and with a great pair of competitions within a tough junior field she took the bronze again in the all-around! She stands out on bars where she earned the gold.
Olivia's beautiful toe point and swing on bars gives her challenging elements an effortless ease!
Sophia Butler (2023🐊)

Sophia did not have her cleanest competition at Nationals, with a good performance she could have challenged for the podium. But, her DTY was performed cleanly both days to earn her a bronze on vault! She also earned a spot on the Junior National Team.
Sophia has a strong vault, but I most enjoy her on the floor where her Cell Block Tango routine steals the show, and on beam where her challenging elements could compete with some of the senior field!
Sloane Blakely (2022🐊)

Sloane only competed three events at the National Championship, opting not to compete on uneven bars. She shined on the beam where she scored a 13.95 on the second day of competition.
Sloane has an explosive ability to tumble on the beam and lots of interesting and difficult skills like this combination!
Shilese Jones (2021🐊)

With huge power on her DTY and an ability to find the ground, I feel like Shilese is made for NCAA. She scored 9.25+ E score on her DTY on both nights of competition. Shilese also got an invite to World's selection camp this fall!
Vault is probably considered @ShileseJ's strongest event, but also I really enjoy watching her on the beam as well where she competes her difficult series with ease.
Riley McCusker (2021🐊)

Riley came to Nationals off of a busy week collecting medals at Pan Ams! Had she finished competing Sunday, Riley certainly would have had a shot at the AA podium as well at the bars podium where she just won the gold medal in Lima!
@mccusker_riley is also stunning on the beam and earned a huge 14.5 on the first day of competition! Riley was added to the National Team (of course) and will be invited to the Worlds selection camp.
Morgan Hurd (2021🐊)

Morgan was incredible on her first three events on Friday night, holding a strong second to Simone. But, after an uncharacteristic floor she had some work to do on Sunday. She did not disappoint! Scoring a huge 56.65 in AA pushed her back into 4th place!
After two amazing routines @morgihurd won the silver medal on bars! Morgan was named to the National Team and will compete at Worlds selection camp. She was also named Co-Sportsperson of the Year!

This stuck tumbling pass made me scream!
Trinity Thomas (Rising Sophomore🐊)

Trinity did the unthinkable this year and returned to elite competition after competing a full NCAA season (among many accolades she was named SEC Freshman of the Year). She showed she is still here to play with big tumbling and clean bars!
Trinity was named to the National Team after finishing 9th in the AA and 4th on bars. She was named Co-Sportsperson of the Year! I hope that @Gym_Trin is an inspiration to many young athletes who want to be able to continue to compete at the elite level in college.
