My original thread of sketchy pro-Trump facebook pages was for pages with foreign admins but I'm starting a new thread for these weird Daily Wire feeder pages:
"Restless Patriot" facebook.com/RestlessPatrio… no disclaimers that there is any paid partnership but this page lists Daily Wire in the url for the page and is posting the same links. Seems like coordinated inauthentic behavior.
"The Angry Patriot" - 1,068,899 fans and posting the same Daily Wire links. No disclaimer that this is a paid partnership. facebook.com/angrypatriotmo…
"Conservative News" - 549,006 fans and posting the same Daily Wire links. No disclaimer that this is a paid partnership. facebook.com/theconservativ…
"Pro-America News" - 287,227 fans posting the same Daily Wire links with no disclaimer. facebook.com/proamericanews/
"Fed-Up Americans" - 897,680 fans and posting the same Daily Wire links with no disclaimer. facebook.com/angrymovement/

This Daily Wire feeder page links to a url: https://christiannewsalerts dot com which is not secure so I'm not linking to it.

This page is just called "Boycott" - 152,003 fans and the page lists Daily Wire as the url: facebook.com/BOYCOTTAETV1/
"Lady Patriots" - 83,036 fans. I'm confused because this facebook page lists lady-patriots.com as the url but that link redirects to an interior design page. But it's only posting Daily Wire links. 🤷🏻‍♀️

All of these pages are managed by admins in the US. They're all sharing the exact same Daily Wire links, in the same order with the same intro comment. How does Facebook not know they're doing this?

Here's the user-to-user graph for 13,537 #Portland tweets from Aug 15 to Aug 18 (today). This graph is telling, it's split almost in half. Top quadrants are lefty accounts and the bottom are right wing MAGA accounts. #PDXData
You can really see the split in the pre-render screen of @Gephi. The only area that seems semi-connected to both disparate halves is this tweet that tagged the Portland Police and the The Oregon Museum of Science with several related hashtags and created that light blue pattern.
The giant purple cluster in the bottom half is notable. I've previously documented MAGA accounts which always tweet at very high volumes (including hundreds of retweets) and some of those accounts are present in the purple cluster.

I realize the HK protests are what's in the news cycle rn but this is not new. The media is commonly deployed to discredit protests. Mexican media used to do this all the time to the Ayotzinapa protests, teachers unions, same during the Arab Spring, Occupy Wall Street... hello??
In 2015 bots were deployed and trended hashtag NarcosEnAyotzinapa smearing the Ayotzinapa students as "narcos" 🙄 that framing was common to attack the students. loquesigue.tv/el-guion-del-f…

#Thread: Inspired by the CBP Facebook revelations, I decided to take a look at the OUN-B affiliated U.S. Organization for Defense of Four Freedoms of Ukraine (ODFFU) Facebook group, which includes 610 people. In no particular order, here are some profiles that stuck out to me:
Dmytro Zhmailo, spokesman/executive director of Free People, member of Youth Nationalist Congress (MNK), and senior staff for Ukrainian MP Oleh Medunytsia, who himself chaired MNK 2002-2006. Among others, Zhmailo is FB friends with CUN leader S.Bratsiun.
Pavlo Podobied, head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance's Department for the Preservation of Places of Memory, according to Newsweek, has "accused Jews of being the main perpetrators of Soviet crimes against Ukrainians in the 1920s and 1930s." (1/2)
