The argument that women aren't electable seems to be made solely by older white voters, not by younger voters of all races and genders who voted for women en masse as happened in the midterms.
The latest YouGov.com poll on Aug 14 asked voters which candidates could "probably beat Trump." It was a tight field pretty much within the MoE.
Biden: 35%
Warren: 29%
Sanders: 29%
Harris: 24%

So the "electability" question is only raised about the women candidates.
A question that isn't on any poll but which should be asked is: Why would voters choose someone who can't be a 2024 incumbent over someone who can be?

I don't think most people understand the dailiness of #gunviolence in America. This incident happened within less than a mile of our house. There have been three men shot to death in front of our house in the past 4yrs as I've recorded in real time on here. That's madness.

The good news about the #PhillyShooting is no one was killed. Women and kids were extricated safely. The 6 cops had minor gunshots wounds, the hostages were safely extricated and the shooter was unharmed. That's all amazing. But the shooter fired hundreds of rounds over 8hrs.

This is another story of civilians with arsenals of weapons. That should be illegal. The cop who was shot in the head missed death by a literal inch. He has two small kids. In the #ElPasoShooting and #DaytonShooting more than a dozen kids were left motherless, some newborns.

Six police officers have been shot in Philly during an ongoing firefight less than a mile from my house in Nicetown.
Gunshots still being fired at police, currently.
Wounded at Temple U hospital.
Immediate neighborhood on lockdown, sheltering in place.

Police were attempting to serve a warrant when they were fired on.
Currently the injuries are not life threatening.
Press conference with Mayor, PPD commissioner and DA are prepping a press conference.
Police still taking fire. Ongoing for two hours.

So today I got assigned a story on FEC filings and it was eye-opening to spend the day looking at contributors.
Thus far this primary (not including Tom Steyer's own cash) the candidates have raised just under a half billion.

The way that money comes in is telling. But that goes in the story.
Who are the top fundraisers?
Not what you think.
Right now Bernie Sanders is way out in front with $49.5M.
Warren is 2nd with $35.7M
Buttigieg is 3rd with $32.4M
These three have primarily small donors.

The next few are surprising.
Delaney--yes, DELANEY--is next in 4th with $26.4M, so expect to see him in the next debate as the most annoying candidate (since de Blasio likely won't make it).
Harris is in 5th place at $25.1M--the most ever raised by a black woman candidate.

There's definitely this 2016 echo in the Bernie Sanders campaign -- a desire to prove the race-based smears of that year wrong -- but the reality is Warren creeping up with college-educated whites could spoil them in IA and NH, which would ensure a loss
At the end of the day, an election is won by getting the most votes. It doesn't matter whose votes, you just have to get the most. It might be at the end that Bernie Sanders gets some arbitrary % of some group that they can boast about in media, but lose.
Iowa is fairly predictive of the Democratic nominee and Bernie Sanders is faltering there. The main reason why is Sanders has almost no penetration among older white voters. Not sexy for liberals in online social media circles to talk about but reality en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iowa_cauc…

1/I know folks are nervous or frustrated with calling for #impeachment. Many would prefer to focus on policy, organizing, and GOTV in 2020. I think we can do both. Also saying, 'We just need to vote Trump out' is not going to be as easy as folks think. Why? Voter Suppression.
2/I firmly believe that Trump and members of the GOP have every intention of continuing to suppress the vote in 2020. They've already started. How? Let me count the ways! Let's start in FL. Florida's Amendment 4 expands voting rights to as many as 1.4 million reentrants.

2)...sauf que #Trump est 1 tribun exalté (et doué) ayant conquisl'exécutif qu'il entend faire fonctionner selon la seule vox populi, exprimée instantanément par le canal numérique. Et il est prêt à détruire toute institution qui "corsèterait", briderait cette volonté du peuple...
3) Il y a donc 1 tension croissante entre #Trump tribun aux paroles performatives (Make America Great Again, our country is doing great)et aux ordres impératifs ("tuez Bachar" sortie immédiates des traités) avec des institutions le contraignant à suivre des normes bureaucratiques

1. This is not a "fact check" via @APFactCheck, it's a hack job that omitted some pretty significant details. @Rasmussen_Poll may have different methods but they also performed better on Election Day. They were more accurate than the "Gold Standards." apnews.com/59ef870461a841…
2. Secondly, we have to start a conversation about that term "Gold Standard" used to describe pollsters who use live-interviewers and call cellphones. You cannot legitimately claim that mantle if you continue to SUCK election after election. Methods matter and results matter.
3. Third, it may come as a surprise to many, but calling cellphones with live interviewers aren't a proven, reliable method for survey data collection. Some of us are making real attempts to develop accurate and reliable methods. And some in the media like AP are hindering us.
