Bundesliga Young Players to Watch this season, a thread:

One player from each team, must be 23 or under and have played 23 or fewer Bundesliga games (so that excludes the obvious ones like Havertz and Sancho):

👇
Reece Oxford - 20 - Augsburg 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
It feels like Oxford has been around forever as he made his West Ham debut as their youngest ever player back in 2015. His career has stagnated a bit since, but Augsburg have decided to sign him permanently after a loan spell last summer.
Marko Grujic - 23 - Hertha Berlin 🇷🇸
Played 22 Bundesliga games last season so just makes the cut-off, but when he was on the pitch, Hertha were infinitely better. He's gaining more experience on loan from Liverpool and has the ability to be a regular midfielder for Klopp.
Marvin Friedrich - 23 - Union Berlin 🇩🇪
Friedrich played just a handful of times for Schalke in the Bundesliga, but had a breakout season last year helping Union reach the top flight for the first time ever. A strong and intelligent defender, they'll need him at 100% to stay up.
Josh Sargent - 19 - Werder Bremen 🇺🇸
Max Kruse's departure should give Sargent more chances to play, having scored twice in 10 appearances last term (just one start). The Bundesliga needs an attacking #USMNT star following Christian Pulisic's departure. Step up, Josh Sargent.
Leonardo Balerdi - 20 - Borussia Dortmund 🇦🇷
Yet to play in the Bundesliga, but made the bench for the Champions League last season, Balerdi will be a back-up option this year again for Dortmund. However, the departures of Toprak and Diallo should move him up a spot.
Dawid Kownacki - 22 - Fortuna Düsseldorf 🇵🇱
Dodi Lukebakio has gone, so #F95 need to find goals elsewhere this season. The Polish forward ended the campaign with two goals in two games (including one against Dortmund) and will be given more opportunities in 2019-20.
Djibril Sow - 22 - Eintracht Frankfurt 🇨🇭
A busy summer saw many players come and go at #SGE, but Fredi Bobic is known for unearthing gems in the transfer market so they may not struggle as many expect. Sow could be a big reason for this, thanks to his box-to-box playmaking.
Woo-yeong Jeong - 19 - Freiburg 🇰🇷
It's almost impossible to break into the Bayern Munich team from their academy, so Jeong decided to trade the champions for Freiburg in the off-season. However, such is his potential, Bayern inserted a buyback clause for the teenage winger.
Diadie Samassékou - 23 - Hoffenheim 🇲🇱
#TSG's newest signing is probably their most important. After losing Amiri and Demirbay this summer, their midfield took a massive hit. Samassékou was the best player outside the top-five leagues, now he could be one of the best inside!
Jorge Meré - 22 - Köln 🇪🇸
Like many of his team-mates, the defender stuck by #effzeh after their relegation to the 2. Bundesliga, but helped them make an immediate return. The #U21Euro winner will compete with 20-year-old Sebastiaan Bornauw for a spot in defence.
Ethan Ampadu - 18 - RB Leipzig 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
#RBL are known for their strategy of signing young players and developing them, and now they have the best coach at doing that in Julian Nagelsmann. It's the perfect environment for the on-loan Chelsea defensive midfielder.
Paulinho - 19 - Bayer Leverkusen 🇧🇷
15 games, 0 goals last season for Paulinho, but the 2019 Toulon Tournament winner should get more involved this season for year two of Boszball at #B04. New arrival Moussa Diaby is also one to watch.
Taiwo Awoniyi - 22 - Mainz 🇳🇬
Another Liverpool loanee in the Bundesliga, the Nigerian forward showed his knack for finding the net in Belgium, and will try to make the step up to another level at #M05. He had a failed loan at FSV Frankfurt, so hopefully this will be better!
Marcus Thuram - 22 Borussia Mönchengladbach 🇫🇷
Thuram has big shoes to fill at #BMG, inheriting Thorgan Hazard's #10 jersey. However, if anyone has the confidence to do it, it's him, having shown his cool from the penalty spot to knock out PSG in last year's Coupe de la Ligue..
Alphonso Davies - 18 - Bayern Munich 🇨🇦
With no Leroy Sané on the books in Munich, Bayern may have to use Canadian teenager Davies even more this season. He showed glimpses of his talent last season and could be thrown straight back in at the deep end.
Sebastian Vasiliadis - 21 - Paderborn 🇩🇪
Paderborn's promotion campaign was filled with entertaining epics, and neutrals will look for more of the same this season. Vasiliadis scored six and assisted 10 from midfield last time out, having played in the fifth tier four years ago.
Alexander Nübel - 22 - Schalke 🇩🇪
Schalke have plenty of options with Turkish duo Kabak and Kutucu standing out, but 2019-20 will be a huge season for Nübel. It's the first full campaign where he's #S04's first choice and will determine where he plays next season.
Xaver Schlager - 21 - Wolfsburg 🇦🇹
New #VfL coach Oliver Glasner is not the only new Austrian at the Volkswagen Arena. The former RB Salzburg midfielder is excellent technically and a good passer and will create plenty of opportunities in his new side.
FIN.
