fed officers or, if under oath, perjury. Whatever he told them could be used against him at many civil proceedings by feds & private litigants. Also, in the SDNY as part of a 5-K (cooperation agreement) you must admit to every crime you've ever done & 2/
forced to plead to other as yet uncharged crimes. Bottom line- even with an agreement, the sentencing judge, learning of what he did, would've still buried him. Also, he was useless as a trial witness for the govt- any seasoned defense attorney would've 3/
destroyed him, as the govt is required to provide a full breakdown & verbatim narrative of every crime he had admitted to during proffers to counsel. His value as a source of info & thus the need to silence him is little more than a B movie script. 4/
Information is not evidence. If the sole source is just Epstein, sans corroboration, there is no case. 5/
Even with corroboration, Epstein wasn't getting much in return. No way out And his own words would have bankrupted his brother, his remaining family. 6/
The evidence he would've used as corroboration, such as blackmail videos found in the raid, could be used alone, without him.

Regarding evidence seized in the raids...the powerful were safer with him alive than dead. Court orders, suppression, sealing orders & appeals would've dragged on for years. Epstein's standing to do so died with him. Now the floodgates can open. 8/
Epstein's death will not stop further criminal & civil trials of the powerful. Information that might not have come out for years, if ever, will now flow freely and quickly as they have no standing to challenge what was Epstein's alone to raise. 9/
Others are still subjects of on-going investigations. In the initial SDNY indictment they're referenced as unnamed coconspirators. The trove of digital material recovered from Epstein's home, including videos, databases, diaries, will prove fruitful. 10/

In order to avoid his cell, Epstein was paying scores of people, cloaked as those "on his legal team," to sit with him in the visitor room for all allowable hours of visitation, upwards of 8 hours a day. 12/

Narcissists, especially with Epstein's extreme pathology, MUST win, even if it goes against their own interests. His "upbeat, delusional" optimism was part of that, refusing to *appear* defeated to the end, gleeful about his final *fuck you* plan. 18/
