I have no idea if this Deutsche Bank bombshell from @lawrence @TheLastWord is correct.
But the fact that we don't already know the answer seems to be yet another of Mueller's many failures. Hindsight is 20/20, but how could Vol. 1 be written without such subpoenas?
@Lawrence @TheLastWord You cannot blame Bill Barr or Matthew Whitaker for Mueller's failure. Mueller should have pursued the evidence of Trump's potential motives to conspire in 2017-18 while Rosenstein was DAG, long before Barr.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord 3/ My point is that there are many examples of major legal, interpretive, and strategic errors by Mueller that make his report incomplete.

@GOP promised no legislative votes until 1 pm.
@ncGOP lied and apparently waited until after yesterday’s special election to dodge voter backlash.
There is legitimate question if legislation passed by deceit is valid.

"There isn't much of a track record of Russians assassinating former spies." Yes, @KenDilanianNBC actually said this in his own defense. Dumbfounding. He and NBC owe some better answers for endangering an asset for no apparent journalistic purpose. He certainly didn't offer one.

This segment reflects terribly on Brian Williams, too. When @KenDilanianNBC says "There isn't much of a track record of Russians assassinating former spies," what journalist - or sentient being - doesn't ask, "You're joking, right? Please tell me you're joking."
@KenDilanianNBC In the clip, Ken suggested the Russians already knew, but to his credit, he also acknowledged his story put the former asset into the spotlight, thus increased the danger as a bad precedent of impunity.
But even worse, he still offered no justification for increasing this risk.

If I had hired the #Mueller team as a law firm, and Bob Mueller showed up as lead counsel for me today, I’d be (a) filing a bar complaint for various violations of the Code of Professional Responsibility & (b) suing for legal malpractice. He clearly did not know his case
And, if #Mueller did know his case, he was clearly failing to adhere to so many legal standards that I’ll have to spend the rest of the day cataloging them. It was a disgrace and a political hatchet job.
And if he genuinely did not know the answers he said he didn’t know; or legitimately refused to answer other questions, then #Mueller was engaged in turning upside down American criminal law jurisprudence. Exonerated?

1. It is important to remember Mueller acts as the Deep State Fix-It man. His worth to the DS is his ability to act as a wall between the facilitators, their nefarious actions, and the wheels of justice.

Yeaaah it’s results day at #Deutsche bank and I know what all you guys want is a #Deutsche thread. I feel a bit useless because @subfincredit basically said everything you need to know yesterday, but let’s try!
1st the results: well, they’re shitty, but in the ‘shitty like always’ kind of way. So no drama. 300m loss, close to consensus, ROE of 0.4% for FY 2018 (please don’t laugh, it’s not funny) but the underlying is also 0 vs 100m expected profit.
Strategy has changed, like every quarter: now they are going to reduce costs and increase revenues. Sounds familiar? Yeah, I wonder why. I guess they are going to fudge the FTE numbers again.

This GOP does 👏 not 👏 work 👏 for 👏 🇺🇸 👏 and has not since at least 2010 (citizen's united - the .1% was able to increase the pay for play $ from a trickle to a flood) and many have not for decades. And they are sociopaths.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord Prior to that they spent decades sneaking in tax loopholes for themselves (they increased the rate at which they got richer and we got poorer - little by little over years) and the the #Kochs have been quietly installing legislators of fortune from state to fed level.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord Their playbook is based on feudalism. The elite class is served by the peasants. And #CharlesKoch has been maybe one of the most brilliant men in history to have formulated the architecture for most of this decades long plan.
