Why 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿's law don't gel with 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿's, hence the #TreatyOfUnion demanding our laws remain separate. This letter was written in as a huge debate on English Courts taking jurisdiction over Scottish one's was in progress due to Orr Vs Ewing inheritance case.

@delboy1978uk Working tonight so l'm passing out but I'm sure they're easily found. It was pretty interesting that there seemed to be nothing in Sept 1878, then investigations in Oct 1878, and by the start of Feb 1879 the verdict was read (unanimously guilty) & everyone involved was in jail.
@delboy1978uk Ok so, I'd taken more articles than I'd thought. The jailing of the #GlasgowBankers really interested me. If anyone would lik any of the articles in this thread typed up for an easier read, let me know.

House Oversight is holding a hearing on Kellyanne Conway's alleged violations of the Hatch Act now and are readying a vote to subpoena her for her testimony before Congress.
Chairman Elijah Cummings had this to say in his opening remarks:
“She knows Trump will not take any disciplinary action against her. Now they are arguing the Hatch Act does not even apply to her. Tell that to all the other federal employees who have to adhere to this law.”
WH counsel claimed there were no violations “even assuming that the Hatch Act applies to the most senior advisers to the president in the White House.”

First, R&Rs of all stripes fear democracy and the demos
- but Brexit voters were not duped & are not dopes, they made an informed choice, however imperfect.

Mason / Varoufakis highlight *danger* of Brexit is return of fascism.
Second, despite criticising Brext "folly", R&Rs haven't "presented any plan, viable or otherwise, for reforming the EU.. This is not due to a failure of imagination. It is because the EU cannot be reformed along socialist lines. it is actually very hard to change the EU at all."

There is a complicated relationship between law and politics in the United States, and there always has been. Law has never existed in some wholly separate sphere, untouched by politics. 1/
Likewise, throughout US history, law has played a role in politics, creating norms and sanctions that are not usually vulnerable to in-the-moment disruption. 2/
What is going on now with regard to Brett Kavanaugh serving on the Supreme Court or even retaining his license to practice law, has absolutely nothing to do with rich, complex, nuanced questions about the connections between law and politics. 3/

All different races of Mankind are derived from Manu and Shradha. The current Manu is Vaivasvata Manu.
2/ The word Manu literary means man but it is a title given to the progenitor of mankind. According to Hindu Puranas there are many kalpas (One day of Lord Brahma the creator) and each Kalpa has 14 manvantara and each manvatara has one manu. So basically each Kalpa has 14 Manus.
3/ The current manu of the present manvantara is Shraddhadeva or Vaivasvata Manu of this current Kalpa. He is the son of Vivasvat (Probably Surya) and is therefore also known as Manu-vaivasvata.
