The really obvious #Brexit thread
1) We'd be able to cut through all this nonsense if TV interviewers asked the following:

If no deal is something we can easily cope with, then how can it *also* be so terrifying that 27 countries will capitulate and give us a deal?
2) or, if the EU27 are really terrified of no deal, why shouldn't we be terrified of no deal, and what right does anyone have to gamble the country's future on something so dangerous?
3) The reality is Brexit supporters are engaged in a massive doublethink, a childish worldview easily challenged but our media fails to challenge it.

TV audiences grown when they hear "project fear" projections, yet believe those same figures on the EU27 side will force a deal
4) Brexiters flip between "we'll force a deal" and "we don't need a deal" like a pendulum. When no deal is shown to be stupid, they swing to "Boris will get a deal". When told getting a better deal is impossible, they swing back to "we don't need one"
5) this position is so transparently foolish, that we can threaten chaos to get our way with 27 independent sovereign countries but chaos won't be all that bad, so utterly illogical as to be laughable, yet minister after minister and pundit after pundit repeat it
6) as a *minimum* no deal will hit us and the EU27 equally badly.

So if it's something we can prepare for, so can the EU27 and it's useless as a threat

If it's so bad that it *could* force a deal then no politician has the right to gamble the whole country's future on it
