It is absolutely inconceivable that @SteveBarclay , Brexit Secretary and @geoffrey_cox Attorney General are not already fully aware of the grossly misleading - yes lies - at the heart of Johnson’s statements

Shame on them for staying in THIS Government. Lawyers parties to lies
It’s ALSO inconceivable that OTHER MPs who are lawyers (they would wish you to believe fine ones) such as my MP @AlexChalkChelt are ALSO not fully aware of all this.
Law making is their day job.

If they care for nothing else, surely they care about their reputation as lawyers
You might want to check if YOUR MP is a qualified lawyer @nikkirobson1 @Chelt4Europe et al

I know that @VictoriaPrentis is one, indeed she suggests a time in the treasury solicitor’s office means she is expert in constitutional issues.

She too must know.
If they stand by silent, going along to get along in the face of this grave and reckless deceit they should be called out.

Why not check on Wikki whether or not YOUR MP is a lawyer.

They MUST know Johnson is suggesting a path of gross negligence ON TOP of Brexit.

I thought providing your phone number was supposed to “secure” your account.

Among the databases were records of 133 mill U.S.FB users, 18 mill U.K.users, and one with 50 mill records on Vietnam users

What a line up of libertarians Johnson has pulled into Number 10. Eg

Or Munira Mirza, who heads Johnson’s policy unit after serving as his deputy mayor for arts for eight years. Her appointment to such a senior job in charge of all policy was unexpected given her lack of experience in Westminster politics.

As a "contemptuous Remainer", may I assure you that I have considered the implications of "winning", as you put it, very carefully.
First, Remainers long ago gave up the idea of #Brexit being a winner/loser situation. They are all too fully aware that leaving/2
2/ will be nothing but lose/lose all round. Oh, except maybe for those who are trying to avoid the new tax legislation.
Second, the 48% who voted #Remain, and the @the3million and @BritishInEurope who were disenfranchised in the 2016 referendum /3
3/know only too well what it's like to have their vote ignored and their postal votes "lost" or maybe never counted. The BBC & other *impartial* media outlets name them persistently as #Remoaners, if mentioned at all. The PM referred to them as "losers" in the Withdrawal Bill. /4

A not-so-short thread which I hope simplifies a seemingly never-ending process but one which could have an abrupt end in less than 40 days. /1
Some context first: The key problem is the backstop - the Irish Protocol to us its proper name

It’s a section of the Withdrawal Agreement (WA) - a 585-page legal text which, together with a shorter Political Declaration (PD), forms the divorce treaty between UK & the EU. /2
The two texts - the WA & the PD - were the consequence of nearly two years of negotiations.

They were finalised + agreed by both the UK government (@10DowningStreet) and the EU (@EU_Commission) late last year. /3

#FDR promoted the idea that the people of the world, in all nations, shared entitlement to four freedoms: that of the freedom of speech and expression, the freedom of worship, the freedom from want and the freedom from fear.
#FDR is arguably one of the most 'successful' #US Presidents. Some would argue that on the basis of his numerous social policies such as 'the New Deal'. Others, however, would argue that his role during the second world war was more prevalent to his success & everlasting legacy.

Brexit would make Metropolitan Elitism worse-

The Brexit vote was against our London-centric system. So if there's an economic hit because of a Brexit London voted against, Westminster would make sure the London Banking sector survived but everywhere else...
Many of the problems that pushed people to vote Brexit had nothing to do with the EU. One of those problems was the government choosing to protect the banks who caused the crash with bailouts while ordinary people just got austerity.
The rich took irresponsible risks with the country's future, but they were protected either by moving their money away or by the government and it was those with least who suffered the most.

1) Thread - All Brexits are bad and what we voted for
It's often said by brexiters that "it's not all about economics"
However, the *actual* Leave campaign was almost wholly about economic arguments

With the leak of this 2-8% report those arguments are now trashed
2) We seem to have forgotten this however economics played a huge part in the Vote Leave campaign, making up over 2/3rds of the primary arguements. The clear message was we would at the least be no worse off and at best much better off. 4 of the 6 below state this clearly
3) & the fact is voters believed we would be no worse off. People prioritized immigration certainly, but against a backdrop of there being no consequences from Brexit - few are prepared to actually pay for ending FoM
