BREAKING: Breitbart *attempts* to sand down some of their edges as a way to placate @AppNexus and owners @ATT as a way to get ads back on their site.

Only problem? They did the bare minimum and boy oh boy is this going to piss off their readership.

This one is now off the site after 4 years. Apparently, not receiving advertising money means that the confederate flag, to Breitbart, is no longer glorious.

This is a pathetic ploy by Breitbart to try to bring back ad revenue and an even more pathetic move by @AppNexus and @ATT for playing into it.

This is a website that has trafficked in sexism, racism and inflammatory rhetoric for years and now are trying to scrub their history.

Now that advertisers are actually aware of what they’re supporting, there’s no longer a market for what Breitbart is selling.

The only issue is that this is what their readership demands. With their declining traffic, this will only serve to drive them away.

According to Steve Bannon last year, Breitbart had lost 90% of their ad revenue. Sorry to inform them, but sanding off the edges of a few headlines isn’t going to bring them back.
