What did people do to you?

Did they separate you from your children? Pack you into cages? Argue in court to keep you from showers and toothbrushes? Give you a toilet for water?

Did they send you to a country you don’t know? Did they leave you to die?

If you are an ICE agent, you are willingly active or at least complicit in enacting a domestic campaign of terror that excites the very worst of human nature, and emboldens the monsters among us, everywhere.

Quit. If you don’t, you’ll be treated as if you are what you are.

One monumentally awful part of Pelosi‘s decision to resist impeaching: framing her decision as political math.

If you’re not impeaching only b/c you think it’s a political loser, people will assume, once you do impeach, it’s only b/c you think it’s a political winner.
As a result, before they impeach him, they’ve got to get rid of her.

Pelosi has made the most terrible political miscalculation of the last half century.

We have to impeach a lawless president.

She has to go, so we can do it.

What am I trying to accomplish?

That's easy.

I'm trying to get men to see how imbalanced in our favor the current state of affairs is—so much so that to us it can seem normal to make everything about us, and any attempt at balance seem like an attack.

I'm trying to leverage the instinct in men—societally instilled and encouraged—to center everything around us.

We have trouble hearing women it seems.

So I'm centering us in a completely different story, one in which we've been treated throughout US history as women have been.
My hope was this could break some men out of this self-defensive angry crouch we've collectively been in, there on our perch at the top of Privilege Mountain, to maybe see that an unbroken string of engineered male dominance is also "identity politics."

Hope springs eternal.

The *point* of Bret Kavanaugh was the sexual assault. The point was, we can do it to you, and you can’t stop us.

It was, to those who put him forward, to those who still defend him, his chief qualification.
To let him withdraw would be to admit: there are still some things we can’t do to you, because of common decency, or political practicality, or because we recognize we’re still bound by the law.

And now we see: they’ll fight to the death to not admit that.
His confirmation, like Trump’s nomination and inauguration, was a sort of collective spiritual assault.

An ideology with no moral value, save domination.
