Corruptly obstruct or impede the due administration of the law under which a pending investigation is being held by any committee of either house of congress.
2. Rather than kvetch about this obstruction we should focus on giving @TheDemocrats choice of AG running @TheJusticeDept in 2021 the basis to lock up Trump and team of criminals running the @Whitehouse Consigliere's office.
3. Just let them all know that they are all going to be facing charges. Loss of licenses and financial ruin. This is a propaganda war. Make otherwise ethical attorneys like the one with #CoreyLewandowski all know that they will be forced to testify against their clients for

@POTUS I think Carol Leonnig just outed the whistle-blower by saying it was someone who was at the White House and has returned to the IC element. And I don't agree that the president can declassify without following the legal process. I've looked and I can't find any support for that.

1. The 18-34 demographic that @BernieSanders seems to dominate is the historic demographic of revolutionaries. Pragmatically speaking, Bernie likely won't win @TheDemocrats nomination and has not indicated that he will encourage his supporters to support the Democrat's nominee.
2. For the old folks who are likely to vote for @JoeBiden to insure the White House is freed from Kremlin control, we need to commit to bringing that demographic along with us in the election and hopefully when the Democrats control the White House and both houses of Congress
3. Health Care, corruption, fair markets and relief for student debt are issues all Democrats agree must be addressed. And though I support Joe Biden I support a single payer health care system and will work to see it become a reality when the Democrats win and I will support

1. America's & now @POTUS Trump's problem is the need to show tough guy response to actions like what Iran did at #SaudiAramco. We love big shows of US planes and forces but then when the butcher's bill comes we regret it. To deal with Iran Trump must think strategically.
2. Harm Iran in areas that it seeks to advance its influence. The easiest and most obvious is to run Iran out of Syria. I have no idea if the SDF will assist but in any event, using small diameter bombs on all IRGC and Hezbollah forces will create terror in their ranks.
3. And we need to tell Erdogan that he chose poorly in Syria and his alliance with Russia and Iran means his forces must now leave #Afrin. Do that and I'd bet the SDF would help run Iran out of Dodge. 😎 @WHNSC @WhiteHouse

2...now, am I an expert on obstruction? Not as much as many. But have I lectured at law schools on the application of obstruction laws? Have I written a book about one of the biggest, law-defining obstruction cases? Yes on both counts.

3...an obstruction charge must contain within it the underlying crime turns the entirety of criminal law on its head. There is nothing to this in statute or precedent. The entire idea would reward those whose obstructions are successful. They also would reward obstructions....

(THREAD) Last June, I and some others said Mueller had a "prima facie" case on Trump for Obstruction—that is, a case that's evidently correct unless proven otherwise. Today, that's the consensus. But Obstruction is more confusing than some realize. Here's a thread on why that is.
2/ On June 8, a day after I wrote about bringing an Obstruction case against Trump under one of the several means to do so—18 U.S.C. § 1512(b)—the New York Times posted a helpful note on the various subsections of the Federal Code that prohibit obstructing an official proceeding.
3/ 18 U.S.C. § 1503 prohibits "corruptly endeavoring to influence any officer of any court in the discharge of his duty." This is the most direct way to charge someone, and carries a maximum penalty of 10 years. law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18…
