This Times article never notes/explains the INTERNATIONAL CONSENSUS demanding firing that prosecutor & links back to Vogel’s discredited reporting. The Times has a big problem on this story. Reminiscent of laundering Bannon-funded propaganda in 2016. nytimes.com/2019/09/21/us/…
2/ Times continues to have a deep problem of credibility on this story, which is umbilically tied to its never addressed decision to launder right wing propaganda funded by Steve Bannon in 2016. @deanbaquet should address. Great paper shld be held to high standards.
3/ Also @TPM is always looking for new journalistic challenges and revenue opportunities. So I would be willing to discuss a contract in which @nytimes outsourced the defunct public editor brief to @TPM.

2/ sent by the US giving military assistance. The key word is desperate. The President is withholding that aide, which the Congress has already appropriated, until the President orders prosecutors to manufacture a case against Biden. That violates the law in Ukraine ...
3/ It also puts the country in an impossible situation vis a vis the US since they know there’s a good chance Trump will be gone in a year and they’ll be faced with the party Trump made them plot against. It’s pretty garden variety extortion.

@TPM one possibility is that Trump was threatening to withhold military aide to Ukraine if the new President didn't serve up some dirt on Joe Biden
@TPM definitely speculative. we simply don't have a lot of info. but a lot of it lines up. and some pretty bad stuff is already out in the open.

Going to write abt this at more length later. But arguments like Goldsmiths, in addition to having a number of leaps of logic, show up the limitations and failing of these theories of maximal executive power. Pushed to their limits, which is largely the point, they arrive ....
2/ at what are basically reductio ad absurdums in which the President is essentially a dictator with untrammeled and unreviewable power based on a couple clauses in the constitution. If you approach these passages as logic problems you can get there. But the logic ....
3/ of the document and the historical context makes quite clear that the authors of the document never contemplated such absolute, uncivic power. It’s an edifice that collapses on close inspection, which is the nature of reductio ad absurdums.

Back at Newcastle Crown Court for the continuing cross examination of Carl Beech, the man formerly known as “Nick”. Yesterday the court heard how Beech interchanged “Aubrey”, “John” and his best man John Prance when discussing the alleged abuse he suffered as a child.
Beech takes to the witness box. Badenoch QC begins by looking at Beech’s claim for compensation.
Beech kept a document on his USB stick about reporting child abuse, within this was the CICA scheme. Beech says this was part of a support pack. He says he first became aware of the compensation scheme when his mother fostered children. He knew about it before Wiltshire police.

This all started because the #MetPolice & #LBRUT couldn't do their day jobs properly & decided to take the law into their own hands. It started as a small cover up 12 years ago but has turned into British State Persecution.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.

The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.
