By winning his second IndyCar title today, @josefnewgarden became the fifth driver to win more than one championship for @Team_Penske, and the list he joins as drivers to win more than one championship for Penske is illustrious, to say the least.
Others to win more than one IndyCar championship for @Team_Penske: Tom Sneva, Rick Mears, Al Unser, & Gil deFerran. All of them won the Indianapolis 500 for Penske, except Sneva, who got his Indy win for legendary mechanic George Bignotti (over @Team_Penske's two stars) in 1983.
Of note, the only driver among those to have won more than one title for @Team_Penske that won a championship driving for another team was Al Unser, who dominated on his way to the title in 1970 for Vel's-Parnelli Jones Racing, which then won the title in 1971-'72 w/Joe Leonard.

One interesting thing I saw on one of @MSNBC's shows last night was the report that, should @ewarren take the Democratic nomination next year, some usually Democratic Wall Street donors might back Trump in 2020.

As surprising as that might seem, it may not be that surprising after all. Back in the 1930s, some of the Wall Street tycoons of that era, along with gun makers such as Remington Arms, planned to overthrow FDR.

And by the way, the names of some of those mentioned as having taken part in that is as shocking as the plot itself. Included were:

-Al Smith (1928 Dem. nominee)
-Prescott Bush (father of one future POTUS and the grandfather of another)

With the #MLBPlayoffs now upon us, let's consider the fact that the top teams, the @Dodgers and either the @astros and/or the @Yankees are more likely to lose in the LDS than they are in the LCS. Of course, if the @astros and @Yankees meet in the ALCS, one MUST lose to the other.
That is because it's more likely for the better team to lose a best-of-5 series than it is for the better team to lose a best-of-7. That means, for instance, the @Dodgers are more likely to lose to the @Nationals than they are to either the @Braves or @Cardinals. #MLBPlayoffs
That stated, should they meet in the NLCS, the @Cardinals historically have had some kind of voodoo over the @Dodgers that goes as far back as the 1940s, especially when it really counts. #MLBPlayoffs

A little while back, just after the @NASCAR playoff field was set, I made some predictions on who would advance round-by-round, all the way to the finale at @HomesteadMiami Speedway. Here's how the first portion of it panned out vs. what I predicted: #NASCARPlayoffs
My prediction for those who would be OUT after the first round were the 6, 10, 14, and one of the two Hendrick Motorsports cars other than the #9 car. #NASCARPlayoffs

Well, I got half of that right, because the 6 and 10 cars WERE among the four KOd in the first round, but the others KOd in the first round were the 1 and 20 cars (the 20 was certainly hurt by what happened after the race at Richmond, when he was DQ'd). #NASCARPlayoffs
