Labour conference carries NEC motion on Brexit - backing the party leadership position of neutrality and a one-day conference to decide position after an election.
They start singing 'oh Jeremy Corbyn'.
In a bit they'll vote on Composite 13, calling for party to adopt a Remain position. They might pass that too.
That would be contradictory and make no fucking sense at all, but could happen anyway.
Composite 13 lost. Labour decides not to adopt a Remain position.
Chanting, cheers. Some call for a card vote instead of a show of hands. Chair trying to decide. Some parts of crowd singing 'Oh Jeremy Corbyn'.
No, that's done. Chair saying it's a no. Oop, then delegate gets up demanding a card vote.
It's a quite extraordinary state of affairs actually. The chair originally thought it was passed, then decided it wasn't. And now won't offer a card vote.
It looked tight to me - like those opposing won, but narrowly. Nevertheless she is holding her ground.
It is an absolutely shitshow.
Well thank heavens they don't want to run the country
And now they carry composite 14 also backing the leadership position. This has been a really strong act of support for the leadership and rejection of any more concessions to Remain.
