The @HeartlandInst 🤡-show denial fest was last night. Let's examine some highlights.
Here's Willie Soon criticizing @khayhoe for spelling her name with an "a" instead of an "e".

In case you don't know Willie, here's some background to give you context. His e-is-not-an-a argument is actually one of the best ones he's ever come up with.

They got a good question about the hiatus:

Soon, Michaels, and Legates sound like unprepared undergrads trying to BS their way through class when they didn't do the reading. Legates, in particular, appears to know nothing about climate — does he actually think global avg. temperatures in the 1930s were as high as today?
The 1930s were warm only in the US, which is 2% of the Earth's surface area. Here's what the global avg. temperatures look like. Obviously, 1930s were not warm in the global average, which I would expect anyone calling themselves a climate scientist to know.
Let's focus on Pat Michaels' explanation of how "data manipulation" got rid of the hiatus. I suggest that @hausfath take a really big gulp of hot coffee and then watch this:

In the end, they never actually answer the guy's question about the hiatus.
