The decision has been made. There's no climb-down option. There's no turning back. Impeachment is happening.
There's a hundred reasons to impeach Trump, and there are no brakes on this car anymore.
All signs point to the release of the transcript and the release of the whistleblower report being very bad for Trump. But there's no version of either that gets him out of this. It's too late for that.
Is it possible the Dems screw up the process somehow? Sure. That's always a possibility, in every circumstance. But they're committed to impeachment now. They're seeing it through to the end, no matter what.
