So many of these Trump scandals trace to the modern fact of our society that laws are mostly not enforced against Ds by our regnant institutions. Trump ‘shockingly’ violates our ‘norms’ by clumsily trying (inevitably failing) to route around them, threatening this stability.

To me, there’s just no functional difference between ‘impeaching Trump for Ukraine to protect our precious democratic norms’ and ‘aiding & perpetuating the lucrative system of coverups’. I see these as one and the same. But go ahead, impeach him for this nonsense, prove my point.
