BREAKING: The whistleblower complaint has been released: intelligence.house.gov/uploadedfiles/…
The whistleblower says White House officials with direct knowledge of the call were the ones who said Trump may have abused his office for personal gain -- the IG could have corroborated this.
IMPORTANT: The most jarring information about the complaint is not what the whistleblower conveyed -- it's that the Trump-appointed inspector general investigated the leads and found them "urgent" and credible. intelligence.house.gov/uploadedfiles/…
Deleted a tweet suggesting the IG could have corroborated the whistleblower's claim with WH officials who heard the call. The IG is limited to interviewing members of the intel community -- but he did indicate he corroborated the thrust of the whistleblower's allegations.
THE MOST IMPORTANT LINE FROM THE IG: Initial eview found the whistleblower credible, and despite "arguable" political bias, the IG viewed the complaint as credible and relied on "other information" to make that determination.
DNI Maguire: "I believe that the whistleblower and inspector general have acted in good faith."
DNI: The White house *did NOT* assert executive privilege over whistleblower complaint.
DNI: I brought the whistleblower complaint about the president to the White House counsel for review -- then to DOJ.
NUNES says "The White House probably didn't leak this out."

DNI: Individuals in the White House might have.

REALITY: This is one of the leakiest White House in history.
! DNI refuses to say whether he discussed the whistleblower complaint with the preisdent.

"My converastions withthe president, because I'm the director of national intelligence, are privileged."
Rep. Quigley gets Maguire to say that he has a problem with civilians conducting sensitive foreign policy/national security missions.

This is a veiled criticism of Rudy Giuliani's role in the Ukraine matter.
When Quigley asks it more explicitly, Maguire says he won't comment specifically about Rudy.
INTERESTING: DNI Maguire says the whistleblower's complaint generally aligns with the text of the president's call to Ukraine, based on the notes released yesterday.
DNI Maguire says he agrees with the IG that the whistleblower complaint is "credible."
