Hacking our psychology doesn’t last. Our subconscious is there to prevent us from fooling ourselves for too long.

If you want lasting consistency, find what you like doing for its own sake, and do that. Because only intrinsic motivation lasts.
If I find that I need to keep hacking my psychology to get the energy to do something, I take that as a signal that I should probably be doing something else.
Instead of hacking your psychology by burying your head in the sand when faced with signals of resistance, it's much more effective to try to *convince* yourself!

That's how you get lasting consistency. Not with coffee & loud music.
