I'm being asked about MBS's recent comments in which he denies giving orders for Jamal Khashoggi's murder. Here's three pieces of information I wanna remind of:
MBS exchanged 11 messages with Saud Al Qahtani during the time of the Khashoggi murder. At the time, Saud Al Qahtani was directing the operation, live & minute by minute.
Maher Mutreb, a bodyguard of MBS who directed the Khashoggi murder on the ground, is heard making a call to Saud Al Qahtani, in which he says: "Tell your boss, it's done". Qahtani has only one boss, MBS.
A whole year before the Khashoggi murder, MBS chastized Saud Al Qahtani for being "too cautious", saying that he wants to deal with Khashoggi with "a bullet".
The CIA has concluded that MBS ordered the killing of Khashoggi.
The UN Special Rapporteur who investigated the Khashoggi murder has concluded it was premeditated, and ordered by MBS.
MBS also said that he accepts responsibility because it "happened under his watch". If he really accepts responsibility, why did he protect Saud Al Qahtani, who was directing the murder via Skype? Where is Saud Al Qahtani?
MBS also said that the murders will be put on trial. If he's so insistent on justice, why did he refuse an international tribunal, given how the murder happened outside Saudi territory and on diplomatic grounds?
And if MBS is confident in the Saudi justice system (lol, "justice"), then why isn't he opening up the trials to the press and to international observers?
