I wonder if Atkinson, since he was still a senior counsel in the DOJ when McCabe was FBI acting director and opened up a criminal obstruction of justice case against a sitting US president, knew what was going on?

As @DanProft pointed out this morning, it’s possible Atkinson accepted the job with the intention of acting in a fair, nonpartisan way.
But his handling of the “whistleblower” complaint, particularly his letters to Schiff instead of Senate Intelligence, warrants skepticism.
