1/Just In: Actresses Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal tell NPR in an exclusive interview that they are suing actor and filmmaker James Franco for sexual exploitation and fraud, stemming from their time involved in his Studio 4 acting school in Los Angeles.
2/The women accuse Franco -- along with two partners and their production company -- of requiring unsafe and unnecessary sex and nudity during filmed scenes and forcing students to appear nude in exchange for promises of roles in Franco’s productions.
3/NPR has reached out to James Franco and his representatives for a response. The plaintiffs, who are seeking to make the suit a class-action on behalf of other students, are asking for compensation and punitive damages determined in a jury trial.
