HMM. So a trip to meet the President might hinge on investigating his enemies and conspiracies. Almost as though the latter depended on the former.

Totally normal question for a US diplomat to have to ask and instead of “of course not” be told “call me”

These deserve to be side by side in chronological order

So Taylor was told to “give Lisa Kenna or S a call” about any problems with the security assistance. Lisa Kenna is apparently Executive Secretary, the manager of the internal workings of the State Department. Someone more fluent in Foggy Bottom, who would S be?

I, for one, will be fascinated to learn what Kenna and/or Pompeo said if Taylor called or emailed them
