THREAD: There is no case against #AssangeSunday #FreeAssange

The Swedish allegations were bogus, never resulted in charges & are now expired. The US grand jury is a nonsense, seeking to charge a non-national as a traitor... for disseminating true information he didn't steal. 1/
SW never alleged no-consent. Ex US embassy @therealardin took her to the police to compel JA to do an STD test. Ardin sat in on SW Interview, counter to police rules, where SW said she felt "railroaded" into an accusation. She didn't sign her statement. 2/ craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2012/…
Text messages after both encounters showed they continued positively, with social engagements & bragging from both women. After Ardins forced allegations, the original prosecutor assigned to the case closed it immediately saying there was 'no case to answer'. 3/
JA had attended an interview in Sweden & was then told he was free to leave the country. Literally the day after, when Swedish MP Claus Borgstrum intervened to reopen the case, a EAW was issued to enforce an Interpol Red Notice, usually used to apprehend terrorists. 4/
AA alleged JA tore a condom, without her knowledge. Just enough to enter the lowest category of 'rape' in Swedish law. She produced a ripped condom with zero Assange DNA on it. A physical impossibility.
He was put on house arrest, then was granted political asylum by Ecuador. 5/
For years prosecutor Marianna Ny insisted Swedish law forbode international interviews, that he must be arrested & flown back to Sweden to answer the allegations (not charges). The European Arrest Warrant allowed a private prosecutor to be deemed as equal to a judge or court. 6/
At the Supreme Court, a false application of an obscure French definition of 'judicial authority' was invoked to uphold the extradition request. 3 of the 5 judges said Assange should have walked free, if the English definition of the term 'judicial authority' had been used. 7/
The British gov changed the law afterwards, to shore up any loopholes that would allow a private prosecutor to be able to demand an extradition. For obvious reasons. This change was proscribed from retroactively benefitting the man who was victim of that very obfuscation. 8/
Eventually Ny conceded that she could travel to perform the interview (obviously, mutual legal assistance is a basic international precept) & Sweden had interviewed over 40 people in similar situations during the time they refused to travel to Assange. 9/
After the interview, the case was dropped. No case to answer. So why was Assange still being guarded round the clock out the back of Harrods in Knightsbridge by police, to the publics cost of at least £12m? For skipping bail. On a now defunct arrest warrant. 10/
The wafer thin rationale for the lock down of the Embassy, with 24hr surveillance & police presence for 7 years was a window into the desperation to get hold of this journalist who had helped embarrass world powers more than any other living human. 11/
When the socialist Ecuadorian PM was usurped by a US friendly despot, JAs protection was swiftly stripped away. Eventually he was dragged out of the building, a bedraggled, weakened & version of the celebrated truth teller that entered 7yrs previous. 12/
Now the statute of limitations on the bail skipping charge has expired, he is purely a political prisoner, held in Belmarsh maximum security prison, in 'sordid' solitary confinement, awaiting an extradition hearing in February. 13/
If he goes down, any concept of a free press is dead. The Guardian & other mainstream media, who made millions off the back of staggered publication of wikileaks revelations have abandoned him. It is a measure of how ineffective, how corrupt, the MSM is. 14/
Some still speak for Assange. @DerbyChrisW is a strong voice in parliament. JAs case must not be forgotten. Citizens are challenging the clearly manipulated legal process around him. @JR4JASSANGE awaits an oral hearing at the court of appeal to initiate a judicial review. 15/
Campaign groups will seek to keep up regular demos like the one no British press covered at Belmarsh last week. The peoples media should bring the case back to the forefront, this isn't about 1 man. This is about all of us. 16/
Addendum: for those not aware, Assange's asylum was granted after revelations of the US grand jury & credible threat to his life if he was sent there from Sweden, who had never refused a US extradition request. It was not granted to dodge the Swedish case. 17/
