Here's a really striking finding from the new Post poll: Since July, support for the impeachment inquiry has jumped substantially across the board:

Up 21 points among Republicans
Up 20 points among indys
Up 25 among Dems

The new WaPo scoop that Sondland will testify to a quid pro quo contains a big revelation.

Sondland came to believe military aid *was* being used as leverage to extract statement calling for investigations of Burisma.

If he testifies to this, it's big 1/

The story Sondland will push is he didn't know investigations about Burisma were an effort to get Ukraine to help Trump smear Biden.

That's laughable. The scheme was public for months.

But the point is, we don't need Sondland to say that. Trump mentions Biden on the call. 2/
And so, if Sondland connects the military aid to the demand for an investigation of Burisma, he's connected the money directly to the demand that Ukraine help Trump rig our election -- *even if* Sondland doesn't explicitly testify to the latter half. 3/3

Today's testimony from Yovanovitch was a key moment in the Ukraine scandal.

First, it showed the WH's defenses starting to crack.

Second, Yovanovitch delivered a pointed lecture explaining principled public service to a profoundly corrupt president:

Only days after she was removed, Giuliani announced plan to go to Ukraine as part of his campaign to get Ukraine to help corrupt our election for Trump:

One other thing.

Ambassador Yovanovitch's closing warning is very powerful. She notes that disinformation "weakens" our political system, and emboldens adversaries.

At his rally, Trump claimed his call with Zelensky was "totally appropriate" and "beautiful."

At that moment, the Post was reporting that *at least four* national security officials were so alarmed by Trump's corruption they alerted a White House lawyer:

Trump is declaring there's nothing wrong w/soliciting foreign interference.

But when he did it, WH frantically covered it up. Trump is lying nonstop to discredit process that exposed it. And WH is working overtime to prevent more facts from coming out.
