This chart does not include the additional measures announced by LPC this campaign. It also does not include the clawbacks by Doug Ford, which will make the situation somewhat worse (ON was doing more than the backstop program would do by itself).
Another caveat. It took 3 years to fully implement the core of this plan. The carbon tax, the infrastructure measures, the incentive programs, the shared capital initiatives for green investment, etc.

Combine this with the fact that the other parties plans are not detailed enough, nor negotiated with the provinces, nor have the framework in place to act. They are targets but they are not ready to go plans.
So if you want a plan that's ready to go on day one following the election the only plan that will satisfy that is the one we have in place already. The one we can build upon.
So you can either support the existing plan we have that is one of the strongest world wide (all except for Australia of the G20) or you can gamble and hope that one of the other plans materializes into something implementable in 3 or 4 years and is actually better.
