Good morning! Today we've decided to share five fun facts you surely didn't know about couscous. (A thread)

The original name is gotten from the Berber words 'seksu' or 'kesksu', which means “well rolled”, “well formed”, or “rounded”.
The world’s first manufacturing plant for the production of couscous was established in AFRICA! over in Algeria in 1907.

There are three main types of couscous: Moroccan, Israeli, and Lebanese
In certain North African traditions, couscous symbolizes luck, blessings and abundance and is normally prepared to celebrate a house warming or a holiday

It makes for an amazing vegetarian meal!

18 years ago, we were attacked by Islamic extremists, bent on the destruction of our way of life, cheering as our brothers and sisters burned in fire, cheering louder as the buildings crumbled, taking even more to their deaths.

We do NOT have to tiptoe around the facts. We do NOT have to "watch our language". Speak up and tell the truth. These extremists were screaming "Death to America", calling us "The Great Satan", and saying we need to "convert or be destroyed" for decades leading up to 9-11.

The 9yo son: *EYE* SAY he is the father! Of course there isn't love and he doesn't know the baby, but he gave the sperm, HIS sperm was used to make that life, so he IS THE FATHER!
