It's difficult to imagine how the Nobel committee doesn't see that climate-based resource scarcity is in fact a source of armed conflict when fighting over water rights are escalating.

I'm not actually saying Thunberg should have won over Ahmed--I don't necessarily think that. (I actually thought Jacinda Ardern, who was short-listed, which Thunberg was not should have won.) I just think we have to recognize the role of climate change in conflict.
