Asking the Daily Wire, an outlet whose mission is to disseminate one-sided propaganda, to fix a misstatement is like asking the WWE to stop fixing their matches to preserve the integrity of the sport. 
The person who wrote that tweet is a magazine EDITOR. Until we as a culture get better at distinguishing between media that is WWE and media that is actual wrestling, our political culture will continue to be debased.
This is not about censorship. This is about people in positions of authority in our media system teaching their audiences to distinguish between media that seeks to inform in good faith, and media that knowingly distorts in order to keep their audience in the fold.
Here's a thread where I develop this line of argument more fully. The Daily Wire's mission is to catechize their readers, not to inform them. Pretending that they do otherwise, that they have any interest in being accurate, gives them undeserved cover.
Here's a highlight of The Daily Wire's journalistic success from January of this year. They created a racist graphic about Warren. Then the President retweeted it. And then they jumped for joy. This is many things...journalism is not one of them.
To those who'd say "bUt wHo iS tO deCiDe WhaT iS prOpAganDa AnD wHaT iS NoT," I would point out that IT IS EXACTLY THE JOB of editors to distinguish between well-sourced and argued pieces on one hand, and pieces that are made-up garbage on the other. It. Is. Your. Entire. Job.
So either you believe in the integrity and mission of your profession or you don't. Conservative media's loose relationship with truthfulness and integrity stretches way back...but the last three years has witnessed an almost complete disconnect.
If people who work in journalism won't stand up for their profession and forcefully distinguish those who seek to catechize from those who seek to inform, then who will? Again, this is not a call to censor the Daily Wire. Just to be honest about what they are.
