NEW: @Telegraph interviewed Rudy Giuliani yesterday after his turbulent week in the spotlight.

He told me he never discussed military aid with Trump and declined to express regret over relationship with Parnas / Fruman.

I asked Giuliani if he regrets the close relationship with his two associates arrested fleeing the country this week.

“I am very, very proud of the fact that I uncovered major corruption at the highest level of government...”

When pushed again - “I repeat my statement.”

After multiple questions Giuliani eventually denied ever talking to Trump about keeping back military aid to Ukraine.

“I never discussed military assistance with the president,” he said. That stance would likely be probed if he appears before the impeachment inquiry.

Giuliani was bullish on impeachment.

When asked what the chances are of the Senate voting to remove Trump...

“I don’t think there’s any chance that it’s happening because he didn’t do anything wrong. They’re making it up.”

My last qu was on his job.

If he felt he was harming Trump’s cause would he quit?

Giuliani: “That’s not a particularly useful question, not designed to get out the facts of the story that’s being suppressed. So thank you, I gave you my answers, do with them what you want.”
