It’s a plan for poverty for Northern Ireland when prosperity is vital for peace.
Even if double customs could work it would impose huge new frictional costs for business meaning competitiveness would be wrecked.
NI would be completely dependent on handouts from the UK.

It would mean a bonfire of workers rights. The plan removes level playing field protections laying the groundwork for a sweetheart deal with Trump.

It will hand Johnson the power to put the NHS up-for-sale to Trump’s cronies.
By being completely out of a customs union, there would be nothing to stop Johnson and his mates flogging off the NHS to Trump who already says “it’s on the table, absolutely.”

Not much surprise it will leave every household more than £2,000 worse off.
Why any MP let alone Labour MPs are considering voting for it is beyond me.

So the primary political task is to make sure people understand that Johnson’s deal is *massively worse* than Theresa May’s botched deal.
If it ever reaches parliament (I don’t think it will) then all MPs should vote against it.
That is the most important thing.
