Impressions after 30 minutes:

- Warren needs to stay on offense rather than defense
- Harris is acquitting herself well
- Klobuchar’s public speaking just doesn’t resonate with me

- Booker is such a good orator, it remains remarkable to me that he can’t even get a sniff in this primary cycle.
- 12 people is too many. Several of the candidates are race-talking like they’re trying to deliver an elevator pitch before the elevator doors close.

I’m just going to sum up this entire debate long before it ends:
The format is awful and the byproduct is candidates talking at a rate so fast, this is all just white noise.
The more words-per-minute, the less useful.

So far, not one single candidate appears to understand that when you have half the time, you don’t need to speak twice as fast; you need to say 1/3 as much.
