Over the years, Labour MPs who actively supported Palestinian rights, like Tony Benn and Jeremy Corbyn, were banished to the backbenches. Their numbers gradually dwindled. This continued, ironically enough, until the Jewish Ed Miliband became leader. 2/9
Contrary to popular belief, the majority of British Jews didn't desert the Labour Party because of Jeremy Corbyn. They'd already left during the Ed Miliband years. Actress Maureen Lipman, for example, left the party because she considered Ed Miliband to be too anti-Israel. 3/9
However, it wasn't until Jeremy Corbyn became leader, against the wishes of most Labour MPs, that Labour's "antisemitism crisis" became headline news. Had Labour suddenly become riddled with antisemites? Of course not. It had elected a Palestinian rights campaigner as leader. 4/9
From the moment Jeremy Corbyn became leader, the Labour Party establishment were determined to bring him down. They assumed this would be fairly easy. They were wrong. 300,000 vibrant new members had Corbyn's back. The only way to get rid of Corbyn would be via dirty tricks. 5/9
Thus began the smear campaign. Jeremy Corbyn, a lifelong anti-racist with a history of supporting Jewish causes, was suddenly the greatest danger to British Jews since Edward Mosley. Corbyn supporters were labelled antisemites with no right to reply. The MSM lapped it up. 5/9
Other pro-Israel organisations, like the avowedly Zionist Jewish Labour Movement, joined LFI in condemning Corbyn and his supporters as antisemites. Anyone who dared to suggest this was a smear campaign, including left-wing Jews, were automatically condemned as deniers. 6/9
Distinguished Jewish intellectuals like Noam Chomsky and Norman Finkelstein were called "self-hating Jews" for daring to suggest Labour's "antisemitism crisis" was a lie. Meanwhile, minor Jewish celebrities like Rachel Riley were suddenly held up as experts on antisemitism. 7/9
Rachel Riley was soon adopted by a bunch of far-right ultra-Zionist trolls known collectively as GnasherJew. The sort of morons who shout "fascist scum" through a megaphone at peaceful Palestinian rights campaigners. Naturally, anyone who criticised Riley was an antisemite. 8/9
So here we are. Thanks to a bunch of disgruntled MPs, pro-Israel lobbyists, minor celebrities and a compliant MSM, the anti-racist Labour Party are being investigated by the EHRC for alleged "institutional antisemitism". Meanwhile, neo-Nazi terrorists literally commit murder. 9/9
